The software is in the form of self extracting zip files that have
been digitally signed for security. The install process is based on
msi files. For each MathBase1 to 6 there are two possible download
options.
This will install the software on a single computer and place a
MathBase icon on the desktop. If you choose to run the program when
downloading, the install process is automatically initiated and you
can begin to use the software immediately by clicking on the
MathBase 'Play' icon once the process is complete. If you choose to
save the download, the zip file is placed on the desktop and will be
indicated by a MathBase icon. To to install the program double click
the zip file, this will start the install process and place a
MathBase 'Play' icon on the desktop. The downloaded zip file may be
copied (e.g. to a memory stick) and used to install the software on
multiple computers one at a time.
To remove to software double click the zip file again or run the
file from this site a second time and choose the REMOVE option
during the install process. Alternatively use Add or Remove Programs
in the Control Panel.
These files can be used to install software either on single
computers or on a whole network. With this option the software will
not automatically place shortcuts on the desktop (use the shortcuts
in the Start Menu under MathBase). The zip file can be run from this
site or saved to the desktop. If it is run from this site or double
clicked when saved to the desktop, it will extract a folder
containing the install files. To install the software on the current
computer run setup.exe within the folder. These files can also be
used on a server to deploy the software over a network.
