MathBase numeracy resources aim to help students of all abilities develop independence through mathematics. The software was first developed at Horizon Special School, Hackney.

MathBase 1-6

There are six collections of related software, each  supporting a wide spectrum of ability and age. The software can be purchased for individual computers or as a site licence.

MB1: numbers to 100 Counting, estimation, number words, tally marks and place value, number bonds and tables practise.

MB2: mental calculation Counting one more, one less, doubling, halving, ordering, rounding, place value, mental addition and subtraction.

MB3: time &  money Counting money to £10 and estimation. Analogue and digital clocks, the 24-hour clock and am/pm notation.

MB4: fractions & decimals Equivalence and mixed numbers, fractions as decimals, percentages and mental calculation.

MB5: shape & space Visual perception, transformations, area and perimeter based on simple counting.

MB6: further calculation Prime numbers, integer division, powers of 10, order of operations and brackets.
