Linking school and home
MathBase is not available in shops, and in nearly all cases is recommended by a child's school or teacher as a useful aid to learning. In fact the reason why MathBase is available for home use is because of the frequent request for home copies - so here it is!
Parents buying educational software from high street shops can find, that after a few goes, the software remains unused, and that what appeared on the outside box fails to appear in practice. This off-the-shelf software is usually inexpensive but may never-theless prove to be a waste of money. Because the software is unfamiliar to both parent and child it can take a lot of working out and may require the busy parent to spend extra time unravelling problems.
In contrast, MathBase will already be familiar to your child and will receive regular reinforcement at school. You may have to help load the software but your child will probably do all the explaining regarding how it works. You will be able to support and encourage your child without being glued to the computer.
Many children like using MathBase, the more they practise the better they get, this boosts their confidence in the classroom, instinctively they know this is a good thing. Because time for practise at school is limited, many are eager and willing to work independently at home.
MathBase is very direct, efficient and effective. The software will encourage and enable pupils with a wide range of problems in numeracy as well as give free reign to the most intelligent.
Regular extra practise can make a real difference to a child's achievement - MathBase makes this provision a piece of cake!
